Hosting
The site's pages are hosted by Cloudflare, Inc. (Cloudflare Pages). The visit counter and the GitHub activity also run at Cloudflare. Only the audience measurement (Umami) runs on Simon Victor's personal server.

Personal data and cookies
No tracking cookies, no advertising services. Fonts and scripts are served by the site itself (hosted by Cloudflare) or by my own server: your visit makes no request to Google or any other third-party service.
What stays in your browser. The site stores your language, the secrets you found, your garage robot and a few display preferences locally (browser storage). This is never sent anywhere. To erase it, clear this site's data in your browser.
Microphone. One secret offers to let the robot listen. The microphone only turns on after you agree, the sound is analysed on the spot, never recorded or sent, and listening stops by itself after two minutes.
Contact. There is no contact form: the e-mail and phone links open your own apps. Messages are only used to reply to you.
Visit counter. The counter at the bottom of each page adds 1 to the total once per visit (one browser session). Only two figures are kept: the total and the number of visits per day. To avoid counting the same person twice, a salted, irreversible fingerprint of your IP address stays for 30 minutes in Cloudflare's cache. The counter measures nothing else.
Audience measurement (Umami). To see which pages are read, the site uses Umami, an open-source tool I host myself on my own server (stats.pissits.com). It sets no cookies and does not keep your IP address. It records anonymous data: page viewed, the site you came from, country, browser, operating system and device type, language and screen size. These figures are only used for overall statistics, are shared with no one and cannot identify you.
No logs on my side. I keep no visit logs: no IP addresses. As the host, Cloudflare processes visitors' IP addresses to deliver and protect the traffic, under the Cloudflare privacy policy. The only records I keep are the anonymous statistics described above.
Under the GDPR, you can ask to access or delete your data by writing to contact@simonvictor.fr, and contact the CNIL if needed. In practice, I keep nothing that could identify you: there is nothing to delete on my side (apart from e-mails you may have sent me).

The texts, illustrations, robots and code of this site belong to Simon Victor unless stated otherwise. Please ask before reusing them.

The hidden game on the deepdive page uses the js-dos emulator and the Boom engine (GPL-2.0, source code at those links), with the free Freedoom game data (BSD license, © Freedoom project contributors). No commercial DOOM files are used.
Some secrets nod to well-known works, including Cyberpunk 2077 (a CD PROJEKT RED trademark). This site is not affiliated with any of them.
